Day 1
Core Theory Session
• Introduction to hysteroscopy: evolution, scope, and clinical relevance
• Anatomy of the uterine cavity and its application in hysteroscopy
• Indications and contraindications of diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy
• Instrumentation: hysteroscopes, camera systems, distension media, fluid management systems
• Energy sources: bipolar vs. monopolar systems
• Step-by-step approach to diagnostic hysteroscopy
• Pre-operative patient evaluation and preparation
• Overview of operative hysteroscopic procedures
• Basics of complication prevention and management
Operation Theatre (OT) – Clinical Exposure
• Observation and/or assisted participation in live diagnostic hysteroscopy cases
• Exposure to real-time uterine cavity assessment and pathology identification
• Demonstration of hysteroscopic entry techniques and visualization
• Understanding patient positioning, OT setup, and instrumentation handling
• Faculty-led case discussions during procedures for enhanced clinical understanding
Day 2
Advanced Clinical Orientation
• Operative hysteroscopy: indications and procedural planning
• Hysteroscopic polypectomy, myomectomy, and septal resection
• Transcervical resection of endometrium (TCRE) – principles and applications
• Management of complications: fluid overload, uterine perforation, bleeding
• Post-operative care and follow-up protocols
• Clinical decision-making in complex hysteroscopy cases
Operation Theatre (OT) – Advanced Exposure
• Observation and/or assisted participation in live operative hysteroscopy cases
• Real-time demonstration of:
– Polypectomy, myomectomy, and intrauterine adhesiolysis
– Use of resectoscope and energy sources
– Fluid management and intraoperative monitoring
• Exposure to different surgical techniques and faculty approaches
• Pre- and post-procedure case discussions for clinical reasoning
• Understanding complication management in real scenarios
• Exposure to OT protocols, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards
Certification
🎓 Participants will be awarded a Fellowship in Hysteroscopy Certificate from World Medical Institute upon successful completion of the program.
