Introduction

The 7-day laparoscopic training program at World Medical Institute is designed for surgeons and gynecologists seeking real clinical exposure in minimally invasive surgery. Unlike conventional courses, this program focuses entirely on live patient cases, operation theatre (OT) training, and structured case discussions.

Nature of Training:

Only Assisted & Independent Hands-on Exposure in Live OT Cases
(No Dry Lab / No Animal Lab included in the programme)

Programme Schedule:
 

Day 1
0900 – 1000 hrs: Registration & Orientation
1000 – 1130 hrs: Lecture – Basics of Laparoscopy & OT Protocols
1130 – 1300 hrs: Case Discussion – Patient Selection & Indications
1400 – 1700 hrs: Live OT Session

Day 2
0900 – 1030 hrs: Case Discussion – Pneumoperitoneum & Entry Techniques
1030 – 1300 hrs: Live OT Session – Port Placement
1400 – 1700 hrs: Live OT Session – Assisted Participation

Day 3
0900 – 1030 hrs: Lecture – Energy Sources & Dissection Principles
1030 – 1300 hrs: Live OT Session
1400 – 1700 hrs: Live OT Session – Assisted Hands-on

Day 4
0900 – 1030 hrs: Case Discussion 
1030 – 1300 hrs: Live OT Session
1400 – 1700 hrs: Live OT Session – Supervised Participation

Day 5
0900 – 1030 hrs: Case Discussion – Advanced Cases & Decision Making
1030 – 1300 hrs: Live OT Session
1400 – 1700 hrs: Live OT Session

Day 6
0900 – 1030 hrs: Lecture – Complications & Management
1030 – 1300 hrs: Live OT Session
1400 – 1700 hrs: Live OT Session – Supervised Participation

Day 7
0900 – 1100 hrs: Case Review & Discussion
1100 – 1300 hrs: Live OT Session
1400 – 1500 hrs: Assessment & Feedback
1500 hrs onwards: Certification & Valedictory Session followed by Brunch

Important Instructions:

  1. The programme is based entirely on live patient cases.

  2. Participants will be involved in assisted hands-on activities under supervision.

  3. Allocation of hands-on exposure will be subject to case availability and participant performance.

  4. This is a short-term training programme intended for skill enhancement and clinical exposure.
