This 2-day intensive fellowship in Endoscopy & Colonoscopy is designed for physicians and surgeons seeking focused exposure to diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures in a real-time clinical environment.
The program is structured to provide complete operation theatre (OT) exposure across both days, allowing participants to observe, understand, and engage in the workflow of modern endoscopy practice. Emphasis is placed on practical learning through live cases, clinical decision-making, and procedural understanding under expert supervision.
Participants will gain exposure to the full spectrum of Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (UGIE) and Colonoscopy, including patient preparation, procedural techniques, pathology identification, and post-procedure management.

Clinical Exposure Highlights
Upper GI Endoscopy (UGIE)
• Diagnostic endoscopy of esophagus, stomach, and duodenum
• Evaluation of common pathologies: ulcers, GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, malignancies
• Management of upper GI bleeding
• Variceal band ligation and sclerotherapy
• Foreign body removal and emergency endoscopy cases
Colonoscopy & Lower GI Procedures
• Diagnostic colonoscopy and complete bowel evaluation
• Polypectomy and biopsy techniques
• Screening and surveillance colonoscopy
• Management of lower GI bleeding
• Identification of colorectal pathologies including malignancies, IBD, and polyps
Operation Theatre (OT) – Both Days
• Full-day exposure to live endoscopy and colonoscopy cases
• Observation and/or assisted participation under expert faculty
• Real-time demonstration of:
– Scope handling and navigation techniques
– Mucosal visualization and lesion identification
– Therapeutic interventions (polypectomy, hemostasis, banding)
• Understanding OT setup, endoscopy unit workflow, and patient safety protocols
• Pre- and post-procedure case discussions for clinical insight
• Exposure to emergency and elective endoscopic procedures
